Anything you want it to be! We meet to discuss what you’d like, and then I go away and make a script which can be edited until you love it. Usually I’ll talk a bit about your relationship, and then we’ll move to a more ceremonial moment. We can include readings, music, traditional elements like ring-exchanges and hand-fasting, and anything else you like.

We work with you to write a beautiful ceremony that suits you to a tee! Then we deliver the ceremony on the day, and guide you through speaking your vows and marrying each other!

*Humanist ceremonies are not yet legal in England. But you can cover the legal bit for roughly £70 and have a perfect, personalised wedding with a Humanist ceremony, that feels like you.

We can include almost anything you like, but at its core a Humanist ceremony is a non-religious ceremony. The only ‘no’ is leading acts of group worship - so we can’t have a prayer read out, for instance. But if you want a religious reading or piece of music, it’s up to you!

Not yet..! You can cover the legal bit at a registry office for about £70 in about 15 minutes. But to have a Humanist wedding alongside means having a perfect personalised and meaningful ceremony, exactly the way you want it, with any components you want to add!

Provided we have permission to be on the land, yes! I love performing weddings in all weather, in all places. I’m happy to travel anywhere, but I do charge for travel if it’s more than 100 miles away from Bristol.

Of course! Absolutely everyone deserves to marry the person they love, and to have a beautiful personalised ceremony in whatever way they choose. Love is love.

This has never happened yet - but if it does, I have a large network of Humanist celebrants who will be ready to stand in at the last moment with the ceremony we’ve written together.
